Cathay Classics presents: Mambo dance to the beat with Cathay Classics musicals

Get into the mambo, cha cha or tango groove with Cathay Classic s’ musicals! Relive the memorable dances in Mambo Girl, Wild, Wild Rose and many others in an interactive dinner & dance session at the Cathay Classics Film Festival.

In the first-ever interactive movie screening, Cathay Classics aims to revive the nostalgic dance era of Mambo Girl, Wild Wild Rose, It’s Always Spring with an entertaining dinner and dance for the movie-goers at the Cathay Classics Film Festival.

Happening every last Tuesday of the month beginning August, dance enthusiasts can look forward to a pleasurable evening that includes the screening of a Cathay Classic musical followed by a dance session led by the Jitterbugs. The evening concludes with a delectable dinner. This value deal is packaged at $35 per person or $60 per couple.

“With the ongoing salsa dance fever, we noticed that there is a lot of interest from the young people in learning social dancing. By bringing the musical classics back to the big screen and introducing an interactive fun element where the young and young-at-heart can jive to the infectious music, we hope to inject new life and interest to the Cathay Classics and create a new form of entertainment for our cinema-goers at the same time,” said Mr Suhaimi Rafdi, Cathay’s President of Business Operations.
