The latest digital cinema projector from Sony is now at The Cathay Cineplex ! The Sony CineAlta 4K Digital Projector makes its debut in Singapore, the first in Asia after Japan with the launch of Spiderman 3.
Boasting 4096 X 2160 resolution, the Sony CineAlta 4K Digital Projector will feature 8.8 million pixels with its SXRDTM – Silicon X-tal Reflective Display- technology with 4 times the pixels of the best high definition TV.

Cathay Cineplexes became the first cinema operator in Singapore to equip its theatre with a digital server and projector to offer commercial films in digital format in 2003.
Though Spiderman 3 is currently the only movie produced in 4 K format during this period, we can expect more 4 K digital movie content to come our way now with the Sony CineAlta 4K Digital Projector in the market. The Cathay Cineplex will showcase Spiderman 3 on the Sony CineAlta 4K Digital Projector in Hall 7 of The Cathay Cineplex on Handy Road.
